Staring up at the stars Darkness looms overhead
Something seems to be missing From this sky above my bed
A light in my darkness A beacon to lead the way
What would I do without A full moon, bright as day
But tonight there is nothing No moon to help lead
I am sad and hurt because Of this moon I need
So I cry, the moon gone The sky dark and empty
I ask why is it gone? My moon has left me
But then the stars speak A little secret of the sky
